Lantern creates pathways to stability for New Yorkers impacted by homelessness.
Our shelter and supportive housing programs support New Yorkers at different stages of their journey from homelessness to housing stability. Across 20 residences, our wraparound services help those we serve move forward from homelessness and build a foundation for lasting independence.
Lantern serves New Yorkers through two types of residences:
Supportive Housing
Our supportive housing offers permanent residences with individualized services that address long-term needs, fostering stability, recovery, and independence.
Shelter
Our shelters provide temporary, safe spaces for individuals and families in crisis with services focused on addressing immediate needs and rehousing.

We provide on-site access to health services, education, and resources, making sure our residents have the tools they need to manage their wellness.
Food & Nutrition
Our food security programs provide fresh ingredients, pantry staples, and skill-building classes to support residents in making nutritious meals a part of their daily lives.
Education & Employment
We provide residents with guidance to overcome financial barriers and build income security.
These services empower residents through training, education, employment, and securing other income pathways.
Arts & Culture
Events and community outings bring residents together to connect, express themselves, and explore creativity through visual arts, dance, writing, and music.
