Lantern Launches Full-Scale Fitness Centers in Two Residences

Lantern Community Services is delighted to announce the grand opening of new state-of-the-art Fitness Centers in our Clover and Audubon supportive housing sites.

As of August 2015, the residents of these buildings are benefiting from convenient, onsite access to treadmills, stationary bicycles, weightlifting machines, free weights, foam rollers, strength classes, and other equipment and resources to make healthy activity part of their daily routines.

Physical activity is a cornerstone of good health. But for the low-income people we serve, gym memberships and exercise equipment are not readily accessible. By bringing these resources onsite—along with professionally led classes and engaging fitness activities like strength training, yoga, and dance—Lantern is making healthy lifestyles a reality for our residents.
