Lantern Applauds Mayor De Blasio’s Supportive Housing Plan

Lantern applauds Mayor De Blasio’s announcement of New York City’s plan to create 15,000 new units of supportive housing over the next 15 years.  Estimated to cost $2.6 billion, the new apartment buildings – like the sites in which Lantern provides our proven services — will help meet the need for supportive housing for vulnerable New Yorkers including veterans, victims of domestic violence, and people with special needs.  While only one in five applicants will receive a unit, this plan is a significant step toward ending homelessness in New York City.
