Lantern Vice President graduates from Hunter College leadership program

Lantern Community Services Executive Director Laura Lazarus, Vice President of Bronx Programs Cathy Batista, and Bobby Watts of Care for the Homeless

Lantern’s Vice President of Bronx Programs, Cathy Batista, graduated today from the inaugural class of the Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work’s Belle and George Strell Executive Leadership Fellows Program. Cathy was joined at the ceremony by Laura Lazarus, Lantern’s Executive Director, and her coach Bobby Watts, Executive Director of Care for the Homeless. The nine month program for high level senior managers is designed specifically for human services organizations, and aims to create a pipeline of MSW leaders to fill future CEO positions.
