Lindenguild artists record their artistic journeys for MoMA exhibit

Lantern resident Richard Moses recording his story as part of the Museum of Modern Art video art project

June 28, 2016 – Thanks to our ongoing community partnership with the Museum of Modern Art, two Lantern clients visited the museum last week to contribute to a digital media project inspired by a current exhibit – Moroccan French artist Bouchra Khalili’s Mapping Journey Project. Khalili’s work explores concepts of journeys, immigration and borders, and the artists from Lantern’s Lindenguild Hall, Michael Deegan and Richard Moses, were recorded sharing their own artistic and personal journeys. Michael and Richard are regular participants in the Lindenguild Visual Art Therapy Group led by our art therapist Emily Sharp and their stories of movement through homelessness, incarceration and artistic creation will be part of the MoMA Community Partnership exhibit to be displayed in Fall 2016.
