Lantern Community Services: 2016 in review

2016 has been a year of growth for Lantern Community Services, and we thank everyone who has helped make our services better than ever.

  • IPS, our supported employment program, expanded to 5 sites and over 200 employers
  • Fresh Food Box program expanded to serve clients in all 14 sites
  • Our Health team introduced a new evidence-based program for people living with HIV/AIDS
  • Lantern clients’ artwork was displayed at MoMA, and we held our first all-Lantern art show
  • We began supporting clients to move on to independent accommodation, through Moving On
  • Partnerships to support our service delivery grew to over 50 organizations
  • We launched a volunteering program to expand activities for our clients
  • Our website was revamped, and we started tweeting and instagramming
