Brian Dickerson’s career has spanned over twenty years, fourteen of which have been at Lantern Community Services, most recently as Senior Program Director for Schafer and Prospero Halls.  Brian has extensive knowledge and experience working with formerly unhoused and chronically ill, chemically addicted, and severely mentally ill individuals living in supportive housing settings, as well as the formerly incarcerated and young adults aging out of foster care.  He previously served in Director roles for Alternatives to Incarceration programs focusing on adult men and at-risk youth.  Prior to that, he worked with the JISP – Juvenile Intensive Supervision Program –while a New York City Probation Officer.

Brian provides oversight for–Schafer and Prospero—as well as Savanna Hall, which houses youth transitioning from foster care, residential and juvenile detention settings, and single adults with serious mental health concerns.

Brian, a Licensed Clinical Social worker, continues to dedicate his life to the service of others, especially the vulnerable people in our communities.  He works from a place of great empathy and authenticity, coupled with knowledge, skills, and abilities. His desire and hope are to affect real change with his clients, colleagues, staff, and the community he serves.
