Cathy Batista, LCSW oversees Lantern’s seven Bronx sites. With more than 15 years of experience as a bilingual social worker, and inspired by her upbringing on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, Cathy has built, expanded and overseen a variety of social service programs for a wide range of clients.
Prior to joining Lantern in June 2013 Cathy served as a program director at Brooklyn Community Services for a transfer school. She has also served as a program director of residential services at Inwood House and Good Shepherd Services.
Cathy recently graduated from the Strell Executive Leadership program at the Hunter College School of Social Work. She holds a B. A. from LeMoyne College and a M.S.W. from Fordham University.
